Stonehenge is a Britain prehistoric monument in Wiltshire, England, about 3.2 km west of Amesbury and 12.8 km north of Salisbury. One of the most famous tourist sites in the world, Stonehenge is the ruins of standing giant stones in circles within the surface of the earth.

If you're planning for a tour, you may go to Salisbury by train  which is the nearest town to the Stonehenge. It will take 80 minutes from London to reach Salisbury. Get a train from London's Waterloo Station to Salisbury, In Salisbury, find and get the Stonehenge Tour Bus which travel about every 30 minutes from the Salisbury train station and bus station. The tour bus will leave you at the entry of Stonehenge. It bus And trains returns to the Station for returning passengers.

It's about 145 km from Manchester; 3km west of Amesbury, if you should be going by car. Stonehenge stands by itself in the center of open large space... You-can't miss it.
